Broxbourne Labour selects prospective parliamentary candidate for General Election

Edward Robinson, an environmentalist and former journalist, 30, has been selected to stand as the Labour candidate for Broxbourne in the General Election on 7 May 2015.

There will be a tremendous fight next year to ensure that Labour's positive message going into the election is heard locally in Broxbourne.

The new Labour candidate is looking forward to working with the team of experienced Labour party activists and elected officials to make sure that Labour positive message is heard in Broxbourne as well as across the East of England.

Edward Robinson said: "It is a privilege to be selected as a parliamentary candidate. Labour is now the only mainstream progressive party fighting this election and so it is essential that we get our message out. Our greatest strength remains our optimism that we can build a better Britain. That is what social democracy has always been about and it's needed more than ever today. In Broxbourne and in Britain."

Cllr Malcolm Aitken, leader of the Labour group on Broxbourne Council said, "We're very excited about this campaign and we're confident we have a really positive message going into this election. In Edward Robinson we have a young and dynamic campaigner and I look forward to working with him and the rest of the team. Come and join us!"
